All hunt packages include lodging the night before your hunt, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hunting in comfortable blinds over feed. If the weather is cold we do have blinds with heaters available. This price is $250 per person with 2 day booking and at least two persons hunting. If only one person hunting, price goes to $300.00 for that person. You can help process your hog or we can do it for you. It will be cut into quarters plus back strap. It will then be iced down in your coolers for you to take to your processor or we can carry it into town to the local processor but you will be responsible for pick up when it is ready.
Not included: weapon, ammo, license (resident: $25 included on your deer hunting license, non-resident, special 5 day game license $48)
You will need to bring layers as East Texas weather can be warm or cold to the extreme. Bring a sleeping bag & pillow, rain gear, a back pack or bag to carry your supplies (food, water, ammo, binoculars, etc.) to your blind. Don’t forget your camera so you can take pictures of your harvest as well as anything of interest that you see.
There are non hunting days between each scheduled hunt to give the hogs time to settle back into their usual routine to give more shooting opportunity on hunting days. We have cameras out and are seeing lots of hogs.
We can customize your January hunts to include guided white bass fishing which has been our specialty for over 10 years. If the water is low, we will fish from the airboat which is in its self an adventure. Fishing rates apply.
Also available are squirrel hunts with Tom and his amazing squirrel dog, Sally. If you have never watched a dog work, it is pretty spectacular. Add an extra $50 per person for guided squirrel hunt. You will be walking and hunting with dog. For more info please call or email or text.
Meals will be traditional, but we will also have some type of wild game that will include either wild hog, deer, squirrel, turtle, or fish so that you can taste the fruits of what you harvest. We want you have the full experience of what nature has to offer. You will get to eat some of Jane’s hand tossed pizza, Tom’s turtle sauce picante, Tom’s fried fish, and Jane’s homemade peach and berry cobbler. These are just a few of the delicious treats awaiting your arrival. Snacks and drinks will be available for you to take to your stand.
Activities available: Hog hunting, wildlife viewing, fishing, and squirrel hunting. We will also have horseshoes and hillbilly golf available at camp.
Upon arrival to camp you will have an opportunity to check your gun for accuracy to make sure the scope has not been knocked off target while traveling. We will also have targets for bow hunters to utilize.
We only allow up to 4 hunters at a time to allow for ample opportunity for each hunter to harvest hogs.
No alcoholic beverages will be consumed during hunting. Save that for the celebration back at camp.
We are located in East Texas on the Sabine River. We are about an hour from Shreveport, La., and several casinos as well as the airport. Longview, Gregg County airport is about 45 minutes away. If you are flying your own plane, Carthage has Sharpe field which is about 10 miles from us.
